On Monday, July 8 the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) witnessed power outages and flash flooding due to a severe rain storm. Some areas experienced more than 100 millimetres, drastically surpassing the previous one-day rainfall record of 29.2 mm.

Our emergency Claims office is open 24 a day, seven days a week to respond to policyholders’ calls.  To help manage inquiries, we have compiled a tip sheet for you to share on what to do in the event of a flood.   We have mobilized our team of Claims Adjusters and Claims Partners throughout the GTA to respond to the situation.
